How do we fight the lies?

You start to notice things, you hear something mentioned several times, is it a coincidence or is something/someone making sure we notice it, perhaps even in a subliminal way.
You notice it again and again and you start to question why? why am I hearing about this over and over, it's never been brought up before, why is it so interesting right now?
You start to listen out for key words in the media, on tv and in newspapers. It's slipped in to programs, it's small but it stands out to you because it does everywhere else.
You find yourself tutting or cursing under your breath and people around you wonder if they missed something in the show.
You start to look in to it more, you google a few things and find you're not the only person with views on it and your research goes deeper.
You start to form an opinion upon it finding you're against it, you've done your research and it feels wrong.
You feel alone, scared, angry, helpless.
You have a choice. Do you fight? or close your eyes?

How do you fight though? that's what I find the most frustrating about it, how do we change what we see as wrong? I see voting as pointless, all governments are corrupt and lie. (Put in government lies in youtube, there are hundreds of videos that will make you grit your teeth to hold back the curse words you want to throw at these ********) I do vote and I do my research on who I vote for but I still see it as pointless.

I can understand why many people turn to violence as official ways of dealing with a problem take so long and are costly.
I'm interested in my local area and there are a view things I would like to see dealt with but to be honest I have no idea how I'm meant to go about that, I've been to see my local council member before about something, I've emailed them on the odd occasion too but I have found that I have been let down.

We write our blogs and make great artwork and movies telling people about the things we see as wrong in the world but is that all we can do? What can I do to change the world?

Price on a smile?

"Health Secretary Alan Johnson is calling for fluoride to be added to England's water supplies in the hope of reducing tooth decay among some of society's poorest and most vulnerable."

Now I'm not going to pretend to know what I'm talking about here, I'm going to borrow the odd fact from here and there but the idea of putting fluoride, something that in large amounts can kill you, in to our water supply sounds a little odd to me. Fluoride is already in toothpaste, why do we need it in out water?
Fluoride in water has been linked to cancer and so many other medical problems are we really going to take that chance just for less cavities? Why not offer better dental care instead?

I've just spent a few moments looking through websites about this and it's scary all the different bad effects fluoride can have on the body! Wikipedia Observer Please take a moment to do some research yourself.

Some people believe that these things are being used to dumb us down, "I've been having problems with recall lately since these metals are designed to dumb you down. Where did these heavy metals come from? Food colouring of all kinds (yes, as in M&Ms, frosting, colored cereals%u2026), baking soda and baking powder, mercury fillings, fluoride toothpaste, tap water, soda, beer, etc." (Truth4Freedom) and I can't help but to believe them.

I was watching Aliens v Predator 2 last night and there was this one line that had me laugh out loud. "You're crazy, the government doesn't lie to us!"

Edit 19th Feb: I've started using fluoride free toothpaste and my teeth are looking great, better than they have in a while o.o they feel nice too.

Symbols again:

Anyone spotted one of these vans going around? with it's 3663 logo? along with the 'By appointment to Her Majesty' it's maybe just me but I can't help but see '666' in that (3+3=6)

I've wrote about symbols before here 'Make your own links'

More about symbols here, this kind of thing really interests me as you see it everywhere.

Media Conditioning?

I saw this advert on TV the other day and caught it again this morning.

I think this whole idea of carrying around a barcode on your phone is very close to carrying around your own RFID chip in your hand. It all feels to me like a another way of, who ever is pushing such things like RFID chips, trying to get us used to the idea of them.
"It's a good idea, everyone carries their mobiles" yes sounds very convenient doesn't it, it would be even more convenient to have a chip injected in to your skin?

The media is used every day to slowly get us used to the idea of different things be it; RFID, ID Cards or drugging children who appear to have ADHD.
This isn't just in the news, it appears in everything, TV programs, movies...our schools?

Kids are targeted now, fingerprinting in schools and ID cards are used in many schools, they're made out to be fun and cool, kids are being conditioned in to accepting these things at an early age, when they are adults they will not question bio metrics or ID cards as they are already used to using them, will they object to RFID chips too?
Parents are used too, they are made to live in fear of the world around their children, with the Madeline McCann incident so heavily broadcast (seriously though how many children really go missing like this? and how many parents get to go meet the Pope?) it's no wonder that parents want to protect their children, DNA kits and RFID sound good don't they? they got us used to the idea of chipping out pets, it's not far at all from chipping babies is it? why not add their DNA to the database while we're at it?

Where will all this media conditioning lead? I was watching a documentary on Auschwitz the other day and I had to question how such a thing could happened and wondered if such a thing could happen again in this day and age...the answer I sadly came to was 'yes it could'. You just need to look at news reports today to see hatred being spread in the UK. That day there were reports about the number of immigrant births in the UK and how much it is costing the country.
I hear almost every day someone complaining about immigrants in the UK, from a lack of jobs or housing all being taken by immigrants. I could see people becoming very angry and it wouldn't take much to fuel that hate.

Quotes from news report:

"At the weekend, a leaked letter from Mike Fuller, Chief Constable of Kent, said his force was being stretched to the limit by the huge numbers flocking into the UK. He blamed the “migration surges” for a 35 per cent rise in violent crime in his county. "

"More than one million migrants have come to the UK since the European Union scrapped its borders with much of eastern Europe in 2004. At the time, ministers claimed the influx would only be between 5,000 and 13,000 a year."

"Recent opinion polls suggest immigration is now the issue causing most worry to voters.
One recent survey found that two-thirds of adults in the UK feel that laws on immigration should be much tougher.

And almost half say their biggest concern is pressure on public services and jobs caused by migrants.

Many believe that immigrants are being encouraged to come to Britain by the generous welfare handouts available to them.

Earlier this week, the Daily Express revealed that taxpayers are forking out £2.1million a year to bankroll child benefit for 27,000 Polish youngsters, the vast majority of whom are still in Poland."

You just have to read the comments left by people on that site to see that people are angry.

With the right amount of propaganda could such hate be used to turn a blind eye to the mass killing of people?
I have to believe that in this day and age that humanity has enough compassion and intellect to be able to learn from it's mistakes of the past.

Edit: 17 June 2009
News report: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1193571/Romanians-flee-Belfast-homes-racist-attacks.html

"More than 100 Romanians - including women and children - were forced to take shelter in a Belfast church after a spate of race-hate attacks.

About 20 families were moved to safety from their homes in the Lisburn Road area of the city last night as it emerged there had even been threats to cut a Romanian baby's throat"

A bigger picture

I've been wanting to write for a few days now, I've been listening a lot to interviews on Red Ice Radio and reading the odd blog here and there but have found that I can't think of a topic to write about. There are so many people out there that are far more eloquent with words than I am and can tell you more about a topic than I can.

What I find interesting the most is seeing how people are on many different levels, there are many conspiracy theorists (for lack of a better description) who you can tell can see the whole picture and can link things together and then I see others who have just started their journey and have not yet learned to look further along the roots of a topic, which makes me smile to know that some day that great realisation will hit them and they will learn there's so much more.

I find that that is something many people in the world are unable to do, I'm guilty of this myself and will have gut reactions to things without thinking the facts through. But so often I see people reacting to something they might have heard or read without looking at the full story and the history behind the story that has lead up to these events.
It is getting better in some places and hopefully will expand more and more.

Diagram from Public Safety Canada showing the 'root' and background causes of crime

I do have something to write about now, why is that so many people will fight and argue over such small unimportant things? I understand that such issues are important to them but...and not to get myself in any trouble here, there are some people who consider themselves to be righteous and close to 'god' who spread so much hate towards others who's only crime is loving someone these people say they shouldn't. I'm not going to argue with anyone about this issue if anyone flames me, I really just wont because there are better things I could be using my time for.

We can be really cruel to each other sometimes. Hatred of tiny differences can be easily moulded by those who wish to control us, in to fear and manipulated in to anger (sounds close to something from Star wars ^^ ), nothing good comes from it, from causing each other such pain. I understand that everyone has a right to their own beliefs and rights to say and do what they want...but I believe that if any of what you do hurts someone else, then it's wrong.
I know we're a little past new years but perhaps a good new years resolution for us all to try is 'To love more and hate less'.
